The country is facing an unprecedented level of disinformation and hate speech, especially over the Nagorno-Karabakh territorial dispute and the ongoing threat of war with Azerbaijan, according to the 2024 World Press Freedom Index released by Reporters Without Borders today.

ArmInfo. Expenditures on  defense and national security in the state budget of Azerbaijan for  2024 will amount to 6 billion 421 million 47.42 thousand manats  ($3.777 billion at the current exchange rate). The share of these  expenses in the state budget is 17.4%. Compared to 2023, expenditures  under this item of the state budget will increase by 6%.

ArmInfo. One of the best  scorers of Armenian football, Nikolai Ghazaryan, passed away at the  age of 76. Information about the death of the football player was  confirmed in the hospital, in the intensive care unit of which  Ghazaryan was hospitalized on December 14 with a diagnosis of  cardiopulmonary failure.
